Kingly Vale is the largest and oldest Yew Tree Forest in Europe. There are trees here that are 5000 and 6000 years old, trees that were old when when Lord Buddha, Jesus & Muhammed lived (if indeed they did); perhaps they will be alive when all beings forget the causes and therefore the path to the cessation of suffering and one, who through their own determination finds for themselves that path our of suffering (a Buddha), the next Buddha comes (the next world cycle). Fortunately it ain't that time and we have countless beings who have realised the root causes and cessation of suffering because of the last being who worked it out for themselves and taught us, phew! Though the Yew is exceptionally long lived, it is easy to see the continuum of life in any forest; a homeostasis that depends of a few key variables for the recognisable patterns to sustain themselves. It is not so easy to see or feel this continuum within the animal kingdoms of life of which we are part. There are Burial mounds at the highest point of this forest where our ancestors are buried. Just as the forest still lives, so too is the blood of those few ancestors we all come from, alive, part of an unbroken continuum of life, organised around an impersonal process that unites all phenomena. This process is ultimately the only paturn that is sustained and we can either live in harmony with it or in discord with it and suffer. There are a few key variables that determine whether a pattern can be sustained and recognised for long. Learn the four noble truths, learn from our mother.
