*Update* With the May 11, 2021 patch, Torment will now deal it's bonus damage on Stationary Enemies, not when they are moving. This will overall increase the damage for the Scourge as we are able to send out a lot of Torment naturally. Exposed Enemies (Enemies that have their Defiance Bar Broken) will also take 100% more Condition Damage from the usual 50% more Condition Damage. A lot of condition builds are indirectly getting buffed with these two changes. In this video I list a couple reasons why Condition Scourge is pretty much the best class to solo all open world PvE things and answer some questions that hopefully clears things up. It is the perfect class for those who don't have time to find players and group up with or if you just simply love the solo playstyle. Scourge has a Medium Skill Floor and a Low Skill Ceiling meaning it will take a bit of time to learn and be comfortable with the mechanics but once you do, it will be easy to master (be good at the class). With Scourge you can pretty much solo anything open world, even all Legendary Bounties (Currently the most difficult solo open world content). In short: *Scourge is already innately Durable with built in high health value + Barriers and lots of toughness + life steal with the switch of traits. *Scourge isn't affected by combat restrictions. It can deal it's main damage outputs from melee or ranged and can bypass projectile mitigation because Scepter Auto Attacks are not projectiles. *Scourge has enough Crowd Control to take down a Legendary Defiance Bar quite quickly. *Scourge is easy to master. All of our important cooldowns are always in view with no complex rotations to mess up. *Scourge has Burning but isn't limited to it. This means they can take on enemies that are normally immune to burning. *** The combination of these perks make Scourge the best class if you are planning to solo most open world content. A little tip: Notice the Scourge's playstyle in the video. Once you master the Scourge you can pretty much go face-to-face melee most things (besides against obvious hard hitting attacks and crowd control). This is actually a great way to play Scourge because you are quite literally a walking scourge of conditions. All Sand Shade skills cast on your Sand Shades as well as on your character. Sometimes your target will step away from your Sand Shades. To remedy this: Sticking your character next to your target makes it easier to land your conditions. All the Life Steal and Barriers keeps you healthy enough to put this style of gameplay into effect. I was reluctant on uploading this video because I thought it was rather boring so I added a gameplay montage at the end. The first half of the video will remind you of college power point lectures, sorry. Also I tried to not be biased (?) because I do main the Necromancer class.
