Redcat Ascent Apex 18 Bed Magnet Technique

Video showing how I tackled the bed magnet install hack. First, I drilled holes in the bed to line up to the two holes already in the cab. There are indents to indicate where this should be done. Second, I glued two rare earth magnets to the corners of the bed. Once those were dried I glued magnets to the corresponding corners of the cab making sure to get the polarities of the magnets correct. Now, I can use the cab by itself without additional holes if I choose. I can slide the bed on to the back and don't have to worry about clipping any parts or changing anything on the body. I may add an additional set of magnets to get it to hold stronger in case of tumbles. #redcatracing #rcadventure #rccrawler #apex18
