With our lures in short supply, fishing takes a backseat as we push ourselves to cover more ground. The day is marked by challenging navigation as we weave through a complex maze of islands where the massive lake takes a sharp bend. Despite the tricky route, we manage to stay on course and eventually find the perfect spot to set up camp on a stunning esker island. The island’s high, sandy ridge offers panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness, making it an ideal place to rest and recharge. With the day’s hard work behind us, we settle in to enjoy the beauty of this remote, untouched land, knowing we've made significant headway on our journey.
