Simple ingredients, but the dish will turn out unusual - I promise you that. We will be preparing 🍖🥔 osso buco with potato gratin. This is a surprisingly tasty yet easy to prepare dish. Even a beginner can handle this simple recipe. Join me soon and let's cook together! 👨🍳👩🍳🍽️ 📝 Ingredients: 📝 Ossobuco 0:00 🔸 4 pcs beef shank 🔸 Salt, to taste 🔸 Black pepper, to taste 🔸 2 tbsp all-purpose flour 🔸 Vegetable oil 🔸 1 onion 🔸 20g butter 🔸 5 cloves garlic 🔸 2 carrots, diced 🔸 4 celery stalks 🔸 1 tsp salt 🔸 1/2 tsp black pepper 🔸 1/2 tsp coriander 🔸 1/2 tsp rosemary 🔸 300ml crushed tomatoes 🔸 500ml beef broth 🔸 2 bay leaves 📝 Potato gratin 5:36 🔸 1kg potatoes, sliced 🔸 2 red onions, grated 🔸 Nutmeg, to taste 🔸 300ml heavy cream 🔸 100ml hot water 🔸 1 clove garlic, minced 🔸 2 bay leaves 📝 Preparation 🔹 Prepare the beef shank and season it with salt and black pepper. Rub the meat thoroughly on all sides. 🔹 Flip the meat and repeat the seasoning process on the other side. Then tie the meat with twine. 🔹 Coat each piece of meat in flour. 🔹 In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and sear the meat on both sides until golden brown. 🔹 Chop the onion and sauté it over medium heat in the same skillet where the meat was seared. Add the butter. 🔹 Add the minced garlic and sauté it with the onion for 2-3 minutes. 🔹 Add the diced carrots and celery, and sauté the vegetables for 3-5 minutes. 🔹 Season with salt, black pepper, coriander, and rosemary. Add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil. 🔹 Place the meat and bay leaves into the sauce. Cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for 2 hours. 🔹 While the osso buco is simmering, prepare the potato gratin. Place the sliced potatoes in a skillet, add the gratified red onions, and season with nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. 🔹 Add heavy cream, hot water, minced garlic, and bay leaves. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. 🔹 Cover the skillet with a lid and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. 🔹 Transfer the potato gratin to a baking dish and sprinkle some additional Parmesan cheese on top. 🔹 Bake the dish in the oven at 430°F (220°C) for 20 minutes. 🔹 Serve the osso buco with the potato gratin.
