False Lefty breaks with perfectionism. And what we know of fractions is when you reduce and cut off the unimportant and unnecessary, the outcome remains the same – in this case, music! Music that smacks you in the face with energy and the impulsive joy of playing, which oftentimes goes missing once everything is perfectly arranged and you've finally learned to “play correctly”. False Lefty focuses on minimalism, which gives hope that it only takes this little to make great music – one vision, two people, three strings, three drums. Formed in summer 2022, to escape the endless loop of uber-precision, False Lefty makes use of the back-to-basic maxim to reinterpret guitar music in the spirit of the Post-Punk movement. Music that doesn't get lost in details, but instead employs driving beats and powerful songwriting. It would miss the point entirely, if anybody questions the worth of the guitar, or asks which sticks were used to produce the raw sound quality. The question is not what music needs – it's more about what it doesn't need!
