My heart is not to dunk on Catholics, but to simply ask an important question: Did Jesus fully accomplish our purification at the cross? When we look to Scripture, we see beautiful clarity. “By one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” — Hebrews 10:14 “It is finished.” — John 19:30 “There is therefore now no condemnation…” — Romans 8:1 If Christ has perfected forever… If the work is finished… If there is now no condemnation… What additional debt remains to be paid? The good news of the gospel is not that Jesus began our purification — but that He completed it. Jesus paid it all.
