How sometimes the life itself gives the direction to directionless people | Arun Attree | TEDxSBSC

This is the inspiring story of a child from a small village in Uttar Pradesh who overcame numerous challenges to become the youngest principal of a prestigious college in Delhi University. Despite growing up without basic facilities and facing financial struggles, he was determined to pursue education and moved to Delhi with his father. He faced apprehension with English, but learned it and excelled academically. He faced suggestions to become a constable but realized his potential was greater. He took up tuitions, cleared the NET exam, and got selected as an Assistant Professor in Delhi University. He won elections as an independent candidate and became a member of the Academic Council. He achieved a Ph.D. and LL.B. and became a Principal in 15 years, breaking records for recruitment of permanent teachers. His story is a testament to the power of determination and the ability to overcome challenges. Prof. Arun Kumar Attree is the Principal of a University of Delhi College. He became the Principal of the India’s second largest college of commerce in his short experience of 15 years and 5 days against the minimum requirement of 15 years. He is the youngest Principal of University of Delhi at present. He also the youngest principal to have the charge of two colleges as he also has the additional charge of one more College. He has done his Ph.D. from Delhi School of Economics, Department of Commerce, University of Delhi and LL.B from faculty of Law, University of Delhi. He has many papers published in national and international journals of repute including journals in ABDC.
