Lakdikapul, where Lakdi ka means “made of wood” and Pul means “bridge”, was named after a wooden bridge that was once built here so that people could cross over the railway line that was laid down. However, there is no existence of it as of today. The name merely pays tribute to the legacy of the wooden bridge that once existed. This is one of the oldest suburbs in Hyderabad and well connected to all the major employment hubs. However, traffic is one of the biggest issues faced by the people of this locality.
