As the sun set on a balmy spring night, we officially launched the Isle of KOOKAÏ collection with a runway show along Sydney’s newly transformed Woolloomooloo Wharf. Amongst an Italian-inspired café setting, our ambassador for the evening – Jessica Kahawaty – lead a bevy of models, including Sarah Tilleke and Amy Pejkovic, as they showcased over 80 of our favourite, Spring/Summer looks. Created by our Melbourne-based design team, the collection has taken on a more relaxed feel this season; focussing on day-to-night outfitting and holiday-ready essentials. Bold red and green, and demure pastels, take centre stage as the new must-have shades, in suitcase-friendly linen, voile and cotton styles. Longer lengths also make a long-awaited comeback, with flowing maxi dresses, jumpsuits, long-sleeve shirts and wide-legged pants reclaiming their place in our wardrobe alongside printed shorts, playsuits and mini skirts. Joining us as we journeyed into the Isle of KOOKAÏ were TV personalities Anna Heinrich, Ksenija Lukich, Lana Jeavons-Fellows Olena Khamula, and models and social media faves Pia Muehlenbeck, Steph Claire Smith, Laura Dundovic, Sammy Robinson, Hannah Perera, Madi Edwards, Steffanie Roberts and Tahnee Atkinson. In true summer vacation style, our guests were treated to spritzes, custom-made KOOKAÏ gelato, antipasto share plates, seafood and Baci chocolates while they viewed the show from the waterfront Otto and Mantra restaurants. On hand to give our models enviable, summer beauty looks with a touch of post-holiday glow were our Aveda and L’Oreal Luxe hair and makeup teams.
