I had a lot of questions when I switched from Dry Van to Step Deck. This video covers some of the reasons why truck drivers switching from dry van to flatbed should consider switching to step deck. There is no perfect trailer, but step deck is a very versatile option especially if you're going to be working the spot market. If you have dedicated freight or a customer that needs a certain trailer type then it may not be an option, but a lot of truckers have a tough choice to make if we are booking our own loads on the load boards. There are lifestyle differences that go along with different types of trailers as well. I'll try to cover that in a future video.
