Dominic Cummings fired a salvo of accusations against numerous Government figures on Wednesday, but directed his most vicious onslaught at one man: Matt Hancock. The Prime Minister’s former chief adviser alleged that the Health Secretary should have been sacked on 15 to 20 occasions for his conduct during the pandemic. This included "lying to everybody on multiple occasions, in meeting after meeting, in the Cabinet room and publicly", Mr Cummings claimed. On Thursday, Matt Hancock was given the opportunity to respond to the claims in the Commons and he told MPs: "These unsubstantiated allegations around honesty are not true.
