Let me show you our daily schedule in our half-day public preschool program! Students come for 3 hours and 10 minutes each day, and here’s how we structure our time: •Arrival: Students do our high five-letter review, hang up coats and backpacks, and answer the question of the day before starting free play bins & puzzles. •Table Time: This sit-down playtime includes options like bins, puzzles, trays, whiteboards, or a visit to the library center to read. •Carpet Time: We gather for calendar time and move into our daily lesson, with movement breaks in between. •Recess & Snack: After recess, we wash up and have snack time together. •Center Time: Students grab their name tags and head to free-choice centers, where they can play as long as they like with friends. During this time, I call students for small group work once or twice a week, and my assistant calls them over for art projects. We end the day by coming back to the carpet for books and songs. It’s a busy and balanced routine that keeps learning fun and engaging!
