0:00 Princess Hair Cut Reveal LOL ROFL I could NOT resist doing this!!! It took two requests for a haircut from me, a request from Hospice AND me walking down to the salon and point blank asking to get mom’s hair cut! She looks adorable! Enjoy!  1:02 Outside with Mom Picnic outside with mom! It was actually decent weather (not cool at all) but windy. She didn’t seem to mind. Love when she is this calm and seems content. The loss of tooth is a bit startling, I just hope it doesn’t begin to hurt her. Watching someone you love, deteriorate before your eyes, while they smile, is indescribable. 5:08 She said “I love you!” Easily one of the best visits in a very long time! Fresh hair cut and sassy personality! Her saying those three precious words were just icing on the cake! Whether she meant them or not, I’m claiming them! She was more “here” on this visit, her words were more conversational. It was lovely to see. Enjoy! 9:27 Fingers are not food Thinking a finger is food is something she will do on occasion. It always breaks my heart. BUT she did love those cookies! I was happy to see her eating so well but was curious if she maybe didn’t have a good lunch. She was definitely hungry and thirsty today. Many times I view feeding her snacks as an activity. Something she enjoys and stimulates her but today I felt like she was truly hungry/thirsty. I’ll have to stop by during lunch to see how meals are progressing. 12:12 She said “Thank you!” Easily one of the best visits we’ve had all year! To hear her tell me “thank you” was crazy! She continued through this visit to be more present then I’ve seen in months! What an incredible blessing and gift.  13:18 A Voice Change How odd! Her demeanor and voice changed! I can’t imagine the moving of her brain. It’s sad and scary and, for her, I’m sure very lonely. Breaks my heart! Thankful for the sweet moments in this visit but perplexed by the change at the end. 14:42 She said “Home” A sad ending to a great visit. It stands to reason that since she was so alert, she might mention home. Debate all you want but hone is not an option for mom. Heartbreaking to hear her ask though.
