Considered one in a million, Dr. David is an inventor, researcher, author and lecturer as well as a cardiac surgeon. He has performed more than 10,000 surgeries and is a master of ingenuity when discovering new ways to combat cardiovascular disease. His passion for saving lives continues to burn strong after more than four decades of dedicated service. Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at University Health Network had the privilege of honouring Dr. Tirone David, one of the most brilliant, humble and compassionate heart surgeons in the world. On November 20, 2010, the Four Seasons in Yorkville played host to an exquisite black-tie evening and tribute to Dr. Tirone David. The fundraising Gala brought together an exclusive guest list of some of the most acclaimed and influential business and philanthropic leaders in Ontario. Dr. David was surrounded by his family, friends, colleagues and supporters, making this an event a truly memorable occasion. The evening began with a special reception, a luxurious gourmet dinner and featured comedic entertainment by Canadian born Howie Mandel, host of America's Got Talent.
