Fusarium Wilt- Fusarium is a soil based fungus that infects the roots and can happen at various degrees of severity. Where To Look: -Plant will wilt as a result of root rot -Leaves will quickly turn from yellow to brown that also have a curl to them. When this is noticed it is advised to cut into the stem and inspect for vascular tissue browning. How to Prevent: -Avoid reusing media as this can increase odds of accumulating Fusarium. How to Control: Once noticed the area should be planned to be rotated to reduce the chance of building up Fusarium in the soil. Reduced nitrogen and do not over water can help slow progression.
