Wendi Adelson, the former wife of Dan Markel who was murdered in 2014, received a Harry S. Truman Scholarship award when she was in college. Years later, the scholarship association published an interview of Wendi in which she detailed her background and provided insight into her life goals... which did not include Dan Markel, the father of her 2 children. 3 months after publication, Dan was murdered in a hired hit operation carried out in part by Wendi’s brother, Charlie Adelson who was convicted. Wendi’s mother, Donna Adelson, was later arrested at the airport as she was attempting to flee on a one-way flight to a non-extradition country. Donna has been charged for her role in Dan Markel’s murder and faces trial in Leon County, FL in 2024.
