Our 2025 European Championship Is Over...

This was supposed to be one of the biggest weekends of our year. We travelled to Wellington CDI for the selection trials for the European Championships with high hopes; my dad started off the show riding two of his horses, and everything was going smoothly. Then it was my turn to compete with Kracka, my once in a lifetime horse. He felt amazing in the warm up: so focused, and giving me some of the best work we’ve ever done. Everything felt right… until it didn’t. Out of nowhere, during our test, Kracka suddenly became very lame. Kracka’s welfare comes first, as always, so we had our the vet out as soon as we could. After checking him thoroughly and taking lots of scans, we were given the devastating news: he’d sustained a high front suspensory injury. As a result, we’ve had to withdraw from the 2025 Junior European Championship selection. Kracka will be out of action for the rest of the year. It's heartbreaking, but Kracka’s recovery is our top priority now. We wanted to share this honestly, because you’ve all been part of our journey. This sport is full of highs and lows, and this is one of the tougher moments. But with the amazing team around us, we’re focusing on getting Kracka back to full health and doing what we love together again soon. Thanks for sticking with us — onwards and upwards Ruby xxx
