Daisy & Cal | My love for my family is what drove me mad

Agents of SHIELD is such a complex show and the writers know how to make so many characters that you just don't know if you should love them or hate them. I've said this numerous times in my descriptions but the more I watch this show, the more insight and sympathy I gain for these characters. Cal is one of those characters. In this video I wanted to emphasize his wanting to protect his family because, after all, that is where all his trouble came from. Everything he did was because he loved them. He had to become a monster in order to protect them. He had to experiment on himself to protect them. He had to hurt Jiaying for Daisy because he knew he couldn't lose her again. He did so much wrong in his life so that he could fix one horrible mistake he made and it broke him. I feel like he thought if he could just right this one wrong then everything would be okay and get better. I've seen a lot of shows where people lose their children and it causes so much distress to me. Each person has a different way of reacting but one thing I've never seen is someone become a terrible person because of it. Most shows usually show someone recovering from that and some characters can't. I imagine there's always a part of you missing after that. Cal never came back. He tried to put together the pieces that were already shattered to bits. I think the pain of knowing his daughter was somewhere maybe alone and terrified or deceased is what really tipped him to his breaking point. He knew he had to save her and reunite the family so he rushed into battle, looking for every sliver of info to save his little girl, just like her. Thank you for watching and I hope you all enjoyed!
