Hello and welcome to my little mushroom house. I’m so glad you came. Would you like a nice cuppa with a cherry pie? In my house, I also have some fine music and exciting stories. Hope you’ll like it here. Your little forest witch By the way, do you fancy a story? I have one just for you. It was already midnight when Irynka was ready for the ritual of the moonlight. Full moon, clear sky full of stars, song of an owl in the nearby forest. Perfect day and perfect timing to complete the ritual for thanking the earth for its work. The witch was waiting for her friends to come to start the ritual and the festival. Middle of summer is a perfect time for such a festival, when everything is green and in bloom, the fruits are feeding everyone and fauna is celebrating their life, safely hidden among flora from the human eye. Irynka heard footsteps coming towards her. She turned in their direction and saw her three best friends: Odarka, Mariika and Bohdana. All of them were dressed in long sleeved and skirted dresses, embroidered with red threads. The girls waved their friend and rushed to her to lock her in a group hug. “Are you ready, girls?” asked Irynka, who’s red loose hair was shining in the moonlight. “Absolutely!” smiled all three. Odarka did her coal black hair in two braids, which made her look more fun. Mariika’s golden hair was made into one thick braid and Bohdana’s brown hair was loose, falling on her shoulders. All four were laughing, feeling absolutely happy spending time with each other. They stood in a circle, being ready to start the ritual. They made a fire, put on their heads big flower crowns and began singing, following the song by the dance. They ended up dancing and singing all night long, laughing and telling each other folk stories, happily spending the night in the circle of their favourite people in the world. I hope you have a wonderful day or a peaceful night. With lots of love, your little forest witch.
