These are secondary things. There is something you need to see in deeper, more fundamental way within yourself that affects the way you see your goals, your relations, your life, your own nature. Paradigm is the lens through which we see the word and that lens itself shapes how we interpret the world. Principle centred Paradigm shows us the objective reality. To solve our deep concerns and for effective living we need new level of Thinking. This new level of Thinking is what Seven Habits of Highly Effective Peopleis about. It's principle centred character based Inside Out approach to effective living. Stephan covey suggests we need to work more on primary thing. There is something you need to see in a deeper, more fundamental way within yourselve that affects the way you see our goals, your relations, your life, your own nature. We look, interpret the world with our own unique lens. This lens is made of our perceptions. our perceptions are powerfully affected by our conditioning. Conditioning of lifetime – the influences in our lives - family, school, church, work environment, friends, associates, and current social paradigms These all form our perceptions these all have their silent unconscious impact on us. These lenses are sources of our attitude & our behavior. Stephen covey calls this lens as Paradigm. Paradigm is the lens through which we see the world & that lens itself shapes how we interpret the world. How we see = we think How we think = we act We think we see the things as they are but actually we see the world as we are, as we are conditioned to see it. The more aware we are of our basic paradigms, how much they are influenced by our experience, the more we can take responsibility for those paradigms, examine them, listen to others and be open to their perceptions, thereby getting a larger picture and a far more objective view. Principle Centered Paradigms Stephen covey says there are principles that govern human effectiveness. These principles are natural laws in human dimensions, as real as law of gravity in physical dimensions. These principles are deep fundamental truths that have universal applications. They apply to individuals, marriages, families, organisations of every kind.
