Big relief for AITC General Secretary and Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the Bengal coal scam case. The SC has extended protection to the TMC leader and has allowed him to travel abroad. Abhishek Banerjee has filed a plea in the top court seeking approval to go to Dubai for a medical procedure. The court today have ruled that Abhishek Banerjee can only be summoned in the grounds of Kolkata. The court has allowed his travel to Dubai and has stated that he shall not be arrested without informing the Kolkata police.
