How To Repair A Stihl BR500 or BR600 Leaking Crankcase No Full Throttle Hard To Pull Start

This video shows how to repair a Stihl BR500 or BR600 that has a pull starter that is very difficult to pull, a kill switch that doesn't work, and an engine that won't run at full throttle and won't restart when hot. This machine is not worth repair because it has the very common Stihl 4Mix issue of having the engine pan seal come loose, creating a lean running condition, and blowing fuel mix all over the bottom of the machine. All 4mix machines do this. The video shows how to address the above listed issues, and get the machine back into service quickly, but of course doesn't truly resolve the leaking crankcase issue. It's is a full teardown job to reseal the engine pan on one of these, and once they have this level of run time, and wear & tear, they're generally not worth the expense in labor time. #stihl4mix #stihl #stihlblower
