We visited the Don Juan Coffee Tour on our once-in-a-lifetime destination family vacation in Costa Rica. It's located just outside the town of Monteverde. We pre-arranged our tour online which was an easy process. There were organized tours around the same time but by doing it yourself, you can get into a small group. Our guide was fantastic. We were able to sample organic costa rican coffee and were able to actually roast our own. We also saw and made our own organic chocolate. This was a perfect family side trip for our six year old. He was entertained the entire time and learned alot about growing coffee.
