Drive America's Highways10 miles through Amarillo, Texas along Interstate 40 west from the Grand St exit (72B) to Amarillo Blvd (route 66 - Exit 62A). Along the route we pass through the heart of Amarillo and the junction with U.S. Highway 87 / Interstate 72 before continuing west and crossing Texas Highway 335 (Soncy Rd) a final time as we head out of town. Unfortunately, with the sun being directly in front of us as we pulled off the highway onto Route 66, we are omitting the footage of Route 66 West (and East) to Cadillac Ranch. If you are visiting Cadillac Ranch, and are coming from the east, you will take exit 62A and drive a mile or so and then cross the interstate before heading back towards Amarillo. The ranch will be on the right a mile or so down the road.
