Jonathan and Dan visit Tredegar, where, during the 1870s, John Pugh (1846-1907) preached in front of the clock tower in the town square because people weren't coming into the church buildings. He faced fierce opposition from the crowd, but God worked powerfully through his ministry and, within four years, the Tredegar church membership rose from 16 to over 400, and so they built a church that could seat 700. John Pugh would later move to Pontypridd, where two brothers, Seth and Frank Joshua, were converted under his preaching. These three men would go on to become the leaders of the Forward Movement in the late 19th century, an evangelistic movement that saw God graciously pour out His Spirit in revival throughout South Wales.
