The locals excavated the site and discovered a colossal idol of Rato Machindranath. They built a chariot to carry the idol through the streets of the valley, believing it would bring rain and prosperity. The chariot, adorned with colorful decorations, became the focal point of an annual festival known as the Rato Machindranath Jatra. Every year, devotees pull the chariot through the streets, accompanied by chanting and music, praying for rain and good fortune.
