The Christian life was never meant to be a path of balanced improvement, outward virtue, or moderate devotion; rather, it is the all-consuming transformation of the soul through a love so total, so absolute, that it will eventually cost you everything you once used to define yourself. From the very beginning, human beings were created not merely to serve or obey God, but to love Him with such reckless abandon that nothing—not comfort, not success, not even survival—could stand in the way of that love. This love does not accommodate your preferences, your lifestyle, or your self-protective instincts. It does not negotiate with your ego or wait politely for your convenience. It demands all of you—your attachments, your wounds, your illusions, your secret fears, your pride, and even your identity. To love Christ truly is not to admire Him from a safe distance, but to be utterly pierced by His love, such that your entire self is surrendered into His hands, regardless of the cost. The saints and martyrs did not reach holiness by accident or through inherited tradition; they reached it because they allowed the love of Christ to undo them completely. They did not fear death because their lives no longer belonged to themselves. They did not cling to earthly relationships, achievements, or even their own children, because their hearts had already been given away—irrevocably—to the One who first loved them without measure. If your spiritual life feels stagnant, dry, or performative, it may be because you have embraced belief without ever entering into love. This video is not offered as inspiration or instruction, but as a mirror held to the soul—a confrontation with the terrifying simplicity of what God actually asks of us. You were not made to be safe, admired, or comfortable. You were made to love Christ until there is nothing left of you that has not been given over to Him.
