How to Create Interactive Lessons in Google Slides

Create interactive lessons in your online courses rather than students just absorbing information from videos. This video shows two different interactive types. -----------------------------What´s included----------------------------- 0:00 Introduction 0:41 Two Types of Interactive Online Lessons 1:26 Basic Interactive Online Lesson 5:39 Scenario Interactive Online Lesson 9:34 Wrap Up -Basic Interactive Online Lesson- This is like a 'click and reveal' interactive lesson. It doesn't require any skills but does provide your students with the option to navigate the online course lesson how they wish. They can choose which content they want to review and not be bombarded with too much information. To create this, simply build your lesson content in Google Slides and then create buttons from shapes. Once you have this, you simply need to add a link to the button by right-clicking and choosing the link (CTRL + K or CMD + K). This will allow you to link the button to the slide you want the student to go to. So when they click on the button, they are navigated to the correct slide. Easy as that! -Scenario Interactive Online Lesson- This style of interactivity is useful to get the student to start to make decisions. What is included in this is: a scenario, options/choices consequences, and feedback Each option has a consequence (good or bad) where the student receives immediate feedback. This is created in the same way as the previous interactivity. First, I recommend that you create the entire scenario and all it's paths in a Google Doc (almost like bullet points). Then you can create in Google Slides, Turn the options into Buttons and add your links! Again, Easy! You can then embed these lessons into your Online Course Platform. Have questions?
