If you want to see me riding these frames you can check out my instagram: @chrissilvabmx In 1999 I used to ride a Schwinn Hydramatic BMX, now that I'm older I wanted to see if I could take this 25 year old frame and bring it into modern day geometry to ride as my main bike with shorter rear end chain stays, 25/9 gearing, and all that stuff we use today that didn't exist back in 1999. I've already done a few of these frames and figured I'd make a video of the work and process that goes into it. Huge thanks to US Schwinn collector Jeff Wick for donating this frame to me here in Toronto, Canada for the video. These custom modifications take a lot of time, months to be exact, and with over 20 hours of machining, not to mention the time planing, trial and error to make every cut/grind match up perfectly straight, as well as time driving and waiting at the welders for the day, plus paying him for the welding job. Additional Modifications not shown in video: JB Welded the holes from drilling out the old seat tube cable guide, acid bathed the frame to remove all internal rust, sprayed rust preventing coating inside the tubes of the frame, sanded the paint down, and put a coat of primer on to prevent rust on the bare metal. Hope you enjoyed the video, I have 10 of these frames completed! If you're interested in buying one(they aren't cheap) you can contact me in the comments. Song: The Inbreds - Any Sense of Time
