Global Equity and Next Generation Vaccines

With 8 vaccines approved for use around the world, why do we need more? Why doesn’t Africa have its own vaccine? The current vaccines are expensive and hard to distribute. Can we make simpler and cheaper ones? Can COVAX realize its promise of global health equity? Tuesday’s panel will bring together four researchers to offer answers to some of these questions. We’ll hear about the work they are doing to develop and distribute the next generation of Covid-19 vaccines, and we’ll hear about what those vaccines will do that the current ones can’t.
