This video is not a defense of Wes Watson — and it’s not an attack either. It’s a grounded look at how online criticism often turns into entertainment, how accountability quietly becomes schadenfreude, and why neither influencers nor their critics get to define what masculinity, morality, or “being a real man” actually is. There are valid criticisms of many fitness influencers — their messaging, their business practices, their egos. But when the stated goal is “protecting people from scams,” mocking the people who were scammed doesn’t help anyone. It only creates a sense of moral superiority. Nietzsche called this ressentiment — the transformation of resentment into righteousness. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. You don’t need to like these influencers. You don’t need to defend them. And you don’t need someone else to fall in order to stand upright yourself. This is just an honest, humble take from someone choosing not to participate in online pile-ons. #AccountabilityNotBullying #OnlineCulture #FitnessInfluencers #MoralPhilosophy #Schadenfreude #Ressentiment #MasculinityDiscussion #CriticalThinking #InternetMob #PersonalGrowth
