The idea here was to give the reveal of the second U.S.S. Defiant a bit more fanfare, as well as pay homage to the Mass Effect series. Featuring Star Trek Online's Adamant-class as the evolved version of the Defiant. Behind-the-scenes commentary: I decided on the 3:2 aspect ratio as a compromise between the 4:3 of the show and the 16:9 of the game. I was debating whether I should display the U.S.S. Sao Paulo name during the first reveal scene. Decided not to in the end, but left in its ship registry. I know O'Brien's remark about this ship looking just like the old Defiant doesn't make much sense in this context, but I could not find a way to alter/edit it out without spoiling the moment. In order to get the ship moving at a "cinematic speed", I had to unequip the engines. With the engines on, even a quarter impulse was too fast. Though in fairness, this is being influenced by my Personal Endeavour rank. I initially planned on having Cerberus' EDI reply Sisko in that final extra scene, but I was not able to find an appropriate voiceline, so I got the "hello" voiceclip from...somewhere else. Demorecord location: Earth Spacedock. I did try recording at DS9, but the in-game lighting in that map was rather unflattering.
