What even is that roll? In fact, what I'm playing here is just STTSTTSTTSTTSTTSS-- BB--BB--BB--B What's happening is for every 4 hits of the slap tone tone sequence, I'm squeezing the first 2 hits into a loose flam and keeping the next 2 hits straight (not squeezed). The signature sound of this phrase comes from the fact that the 2 hits that are flammed change from ST to TT to TS and back to ST. I hope that this video serves to demystify this technique.
