Veerappa and directed by A. Bhimsingh. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Manoj Kumar, Simi Garewal and Pran. The film's music is by Naushad. The film is a remake of the Tamil film Aalayamani.[1] Besides being noted for Dilip Kumar's acting as a man in a wheelchair, the film is also known for its dialogues by Akhtar ul Iman and trick cinematography work by Faredoon A. Irani.[2] It was a commercial success at the box office.[3] The plot revolves around Rajesh, an orphan who comes from a wealthy and noble family. As a child, he falls in love with a girl named Meena, but tragically, she dies, and Rajesh substitutes her with a doll. Years later, Rajesh, still haunted by his past, falls in love with another woman named Meena and plans to marry her. However, his obsession with his childhood sweetheart leads to a series of dramatic events, including a fight that results in him finishing another young boy. The story explores themes of love, obsession, and the impact of past traumas on one's present life. It's a gripping drama with strong performances by the cast.
