This is Quake 1 running natively on the Quest 3 - no PC needed after the initial install. Will also work on older Quest headsets. Apologies for the audio getting out of sync as I’m playing. An unfortunate side effect of capturing 72fps gameplay at 36fps and then displaying at 30fps on Youtube. What do you need? A copy of Quake 1 installed on your PC. Developer mode enabled on your headset. Do this in the mobile/tablet app by going to Settings, Dfevices, Quest 3, Headset Settings, Developer mode. Click on the link there and follow the instructions. When you’re done, return to the app, and there should be an on/off toggle in the Developer Mode section. Install Side Quest on the PC: https://sidequestvr.com/setup-howto Connect the Quest to the PC by cable and use Sidequest to search for the Quake mod and install it. It will ask for the path to the PC install of Quake and use those files while transferring to the Quest. And… you’re done. Go to your list of games on the headset, choose to filter by unofficial software, and Quake should be there. Make sure the MR mode is turned off the first time you launch the game. Otherwise you will get into a security prompt loop that you need to reboot the headset (hold down power button for two seconds) to get out of.
