With an Advance Healthcare Directive, you can record your future healthcare decisions. If a time comes when you are unable to make or communicated decisions, your preferences and choices will be known. In an Advance Healthcare Directive, you can consent to or refuse future treatment, including preventative, therapeutic, and life-sustaining treatments. Talking to your GP or medical professional can help you understand what options you have. You can appoint one or two people as your Designated Healthcare Representatives.
