Welcome to Sibiu, Transylvania, Romania. In this walking tour of Sibiu, we are visiting and walking through the historic center of the beautiful city of Hermannstadt. Sibiu is located in the Transylvania region, in central Romania. The thing it is well known for is the Germanic architecture that can be found all throughout its old town. This is basically the legacy of 12th-century Saxon settlers. While walking in Sibiu you can see the remains of the medieval walls and towers, such as the Carpenter's Tower and the 13th-century Council Tower. Divided in the upper and lower town. the Sibiu old city is a popular travel destination for many tourists all year round. Even if you are just spending a day in Sibiu, you will fall in love with it. During summertime there are plenty of events, the biggest one being the International Festival of Theater. While during winter, Sibiu is proud to host one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe. This 4k walking tour of Sibiu is very special for me because it is my hometown. Born and raised here, I have always loved walking in Sibiu. During our city tour we visit the Big Square, The Small Square, Bridge of Lies, we go for a walk on the most beautiful streets in Sibiu, and we get lost through the narrow streets and alleys of the old town.
