First impressions of Tallinn, Estonia 🇪🇪 I heard this was one of the most modern and futuristic cities in Europe — but I had to see it myself to believe it! In just one day, I explored the modern skyscraper district, the medieval Old Town, and even the Soviet ruins that still stand today. Inspired by Bald and Bankrupt’s legendary visit, I climbed the same eerie concrete steps of Tallinna Linnahall, the massive Soviet megastructure built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics. From up there, the whole city looked frozen between centuries — part medieval fairy tale, part futuristic tech hub. ⏰ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 Arrived in Tallinn From Riga by LuxExpress Bus 01:24 Tallinn Old Town (cleanest, most chilled city in Europe) 08:12 Tallinna Linnahall 13:38 OUTRO 📸 WHAT I EXPERIENCED 🏙️ Modern Tallinn – clean, quiet, filled with glass towers and cafés; it honestly feels like Scandinavia. 🏰 Old Town – cobblestone streets, medieval gates, and one of the best-preserved historic centers in Europe. 😮 Beautiful Locals – Estonians are way too good-looking; it’s almost distracting. 🧲 Souvenir Magnet – because I officially fell in love with Estonia. 🛡️ Castle Walls (Toompea) – climbed the fortress walls and genuinely felt like a knight defending the city. ⛪ St. Olaf’s Church (Oleviste Kirik) – once the tallest building in the world at 159 meters (from 1549–1625)! • Hit by lightning over 10 times throughout history ⚡ • During Soviet occupation, it was used as a KGB radio and surveillance tower 🕵️♂️ • Today, it’s one of the best viewpoints in all of Tallinn. 🎭 Torture Museum – medieval devices that made me question humanity’s creativity... and sanity. 🏛️ Estonian Academy of Sciences – an impressive Stalinist landmark that seemed closed, but still dominates the skyline. 🥙 Kebab in Tallinn City Center – nothing hits like a kebab after hours of walking through ancient streets. 🧱 Tallinna Linnahall – a massive concrete Soviet arena built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics. Once a concert venue and ice rink, now an abandoned relic covered in graffiti and sea wind. Bald and Bankrupt climbed these same steps — so of course I had to too. 📍 LOCATIONS FEATURED • Tallinn Old Town • St. Olaf’s Church (Oleviste Kirik) • Toompea Castle Walls • Tallinna Linnahall (Soviet Olympic Hall) • Estonian Academy of Sciences • Museum of Medieval Torture Instruments • Tallinn City Center • Kebab Restaurant near Viru Gate • Modern District Skyscrapers 💬 SUBTITLES · LANGUAGES · INFO 💬 → English subtitles → Formal Korean subtitles 🇰🇷 for Korean learners and viewers 🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍✈️🌍 MY WEBSITE: urimate.com ABOUT ME My name is Máté, and I’m a 23-year-old Christian and family-friendly travel YouTuber, creating content for English speakers and Korean viewers who want to learn English and laugh along the way 🌍✝️🇰🇷 Got feedback?
