Just over two years since issuing a formal apology to communities of color, the APA welcomed all members to join in celebrating our achievements in 2023 and our plans in 2024 as we continue our commitment to dismantling systemic racism and advancing equity and inclusion. APA President, Dr. Thema S. Bryant, PhD leads a discussion surrounding the implementation of the Racial Equity Action Plan and other EDI-focused initiatives positioned to impact APA, the field of psychology, and society. Dr. Bryant also honors special guest Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child with a presidential citation for utilizing her platform to raise awareness of mental health.
