This band changed their name between RBN releases even though both of their songs come from the same album. They didn't even update the album cover in-game, which is especially funny since this is one of those cases where the image is slightly off-center between songs anyway, so they used a different .png of the old art instead of the updated one. Smooth moves from ASP as usual. Anyway, there's a copy of this CD on Discogs right now, but it'll set you back about $40 after shipping -- yikes. Truthfully, I only really looked because I wanted to see if they pressed copies with both names, but I guess we'll never know. The only picture on the Discogs page is with the name "Nova," but that's not connected to the active listing. On streaming, I can see they updated the cover to credit "The Last Nova" later on, but I cannot determine for sure whether they printed more copies of this album under that name. If someone in the community is smitten enough by this song or "California" to drop that much on the CD, be my guest. I do have a history of financial irresponsibility with GH/RB-adjacent items, but this one's not worth that much to me, especially without knowing for sure whether two physical variants actually exist. That being said, if you do buy it, please comment and let me know what you end up getting, because I am genuinely curious. I guess I should probably talk about the track a little too, but there isn't a ton to say beyond the artist name thing. The intro to this one makes me think we're gonna get an "Obstacle 1" type song, but then it just becomes every other 2000s hard-rock no-name RBN slop tune, which is a letdown. There is a strumming solo at 3:07 which is by far and away the highlight of the chart. Otherwise, this one's fairly unremarkable.
