Tri 5 Sled Build Episode 5 - 1997 Polaris XC 600 Triple with David Fischer and Leah Bauer

Ryan heads back to Motorsports Plus in St. Paul, Minnesota, to meet up with David and Jeff Fischer and Leah Bauer as we finish modding our 1997 Polaris Indy XC 600 Triple for the Levi Tri 5. Because "nothing is lighter than a hole," David and Leah make some major modifications to the Indy's hood to allow in more air. The greasy triple has to run for over an hour in unpredictable April weather so we need to make sure she can breath well. We also removed the headlights to let the buggy suck in even more O2. Why are we putting our Indy on CPAP? Because we have new carbs to set up and we're not running an air box. We'll just have filters on the intake side so we will be sucking all the air in from under the hood. Adequate venting is essential. You know what else is essential? LOUD PIPES!!! We want to make sure you can hear us out there so we're hitting the track loud and proud with some killer pipes that Jeff and Ryan install in record time lapse time. Of course, the sled ain't going anywhere without a track, so we'll reunite it with its skid and track. David gives the clutches a good cleaning. A stiffer spring will help us come out of the corners a lot harder. We're talking hard engagement! You will hear us rev up before we take off. Not too hard, but definitely harder than 1997 stock.
