#EarwaxInsider Earwax Is Produced In The Cartilaginous Outer Third Of The Ear Canal. It Is A Mixture Of Secretions From The Sebaceous Glands And The Less Viscous Secretions Of Modified Apocrine Sweat Glands. The Main Components Of Both Wet And Dry Earwax Are Exfoliated Layers Of Skin, Which Contain On Average 60% Keratin, 12-20% Long-Chain Saturated And Unsaturated Fatty Acids, Alcohols, Squalene, And 6-9% Cholesterol. Earwax, Also Known As White Earwax, Is A Waxy Substance Secreted In The Ear Canal Of Humans And Other Mammals. Earwax Can Come In A Variety Of Colors, Including Brown, Orange, Red, Yellowish, And Gray. Earwax Protects The Skin Of The Human Ear Canal, Helps Clean And Lubricate It, And Provides Protection Against Bacteria, Fungi, Particles, And Water. The Main Components Of Earwax Are Earwax, A White Substance Produced By A Type Of Modified Sweat Gland, And Sebum, An Oily Substance. Both Components Are Produced By Glands Located In The External Auditory Canal. The Chemical Composition Of Earwax Includes Long-Chain Saturated And Unsaturated Fatty Acids, Alcohols, Squalene, And Cholesterol. Earwax Also Contains Dead Skin Cells And Hair. Excessive Or Thick Earwax Is A Buildup Of Wax That Causes A Blockage In The Ear Canal And Can Press On The Eardrum Or Block The External Ear Canal Or Hearing Aids, Potentially Causing Hearing Loss. Wet Or Dry There Are Two Genetically Determined Types Of Earwax: The Dominant, Wet Type And The Recessive, Dry Type. This Difference Is Caused By A Single Base Mutation In The ATP-Binding Cassette C11 Gene. Dry Types Are Homozygous For Adenine (AA), While Wet Types Require At Least One Guanine (AG Or GG). Dry Earwax Is Gray Or Brown, Friable, And Contains Approximately 20% Lipids. It Has A Lower Concentration Of Lipids And Pigment Granules Than Wet Earwax. Wet Earwax Is Light Or Dark Brown, Has A Viscous And Sticky Consistency, And Contains Approximately 50% Lipids. Wet Earwax Is Associated With Underarm Odor, Which Is Exacerbated By Sweat Production. Earwax Helps Protect The Ear By Absorbing Dust And Other Foreign Particles That Can Enter And Damage The Eardrum. Normally, Earwax Moves Toward The Ear Canal And Is Drained Or Washed Out, But Sometimes Excess Earwax Can Build Up And Be Difficult To Remove. This Is Called Excess Earwax Or Thick Earwax. Excess Earwax Can Block The Passage Of Sound Through The Ear Canal And Cause Mild Conductive Hearing Loss, Earache, Itching, Or Dizziness. If Left Untreated, Earwax Can Cause Hearing Loss, Social Isolation, Poor Work Performance, And Mild Paranoia. People With Earwax May Also Have A Perforated Eardrum; This Is Usually Caused By Inserting Objects Into The Ear In An Attempt To Remove The Wax. A Physical Examination Usually Checks For The Visibility Of The Eardrum, Which May Be Obstructed By Excess Earwax. Accumulated Earwax May Improve Spontaneously, But Treatment Is Usually Safe And Effective. Hearing Is Usually Fully Restored After The Accumulated Earwax Is Removed. Hearing Aids Can Be Associated With Increased Exposure To Earwax, Which Prevents It From Leaving The Ear Canal. Earwax Can Also Enter The Hearing Aid Vents And Receivers, Corroding Their Internal Components Due To Acidity. It Is Estimated That Earwax Is The Cause Of 60-80% Of Hearing Aid Failures. Excess Earwax Can Also Cause Tinnitus, A Persistent Ringing In The Ears, Ear Pressure, Hearing Loss, And Ear Pain. Ear Congestion Is More Common In People With Down Syndrome Due To The Smaller, Curved Shape Of The Ear Canal. The Ear Canal Is Cleaned By A Process Of Epithelial Migration, Known As A "Conveyor Belt," Which Is Facilitated By Jaw Movement. Cells That Form In The Center Of The Eardrum From The Tympanic Membrane Migrate To The Walls Of The Ear Canal And From There To The Entrance. Earwax Present In The Ear Canal Is Also Moved Outward, Carrying With It Any Particles That Have Accumulated Inside. Jaw Movement Helps To Remove Debris From The Walls Of The Ear Canal. Earwax Removal Is Part Of The Clinical Practice Of Nurses, Audiologists, Family Doctors, And Otolaryngologists (Ear, Nose, And Throat Specialists). 1007 Goodyear Ave, Gadsden, AL 35903 Culture: 耳垢の掃除 귀지 청소 Ørevoksrensning Oorsmeer Reinigen Puhdistava Korvavaha Nettoyage Du Cérumen Ohrenschmalz Reinigen Hreinsandi Eyrnavax Earwax A Ghlanadh Pulizia Del Cerume Earwax Botzen Ørevoks Rengjøring Limpeza De Cera Limpieza De Cerumen Öronvax Rengöring
