This video demonstrates how to check the tire pressure and lower the skid shoes on an EGO SNT2406-4 24" snow blower. This maintenance is also very similar on other snow blowers made by Ariens, Husqvarna, Toro, Cub Cadet, Briggs & Stratton, Honda, Greenworks, Snow Joe, DeWalt, and Ryobi. It's important to maintain your snow blower to make it last as long as possible. If you forget to lower or replace your skid shoes, the bottom of your snow blower will start dragging on the ground causing the metal to wear down and rust. You definitely want your plastic skid shoes to be grinding on the cement instead of the metal of your snow blower. It's also important to frequently check the tire pressure on your snow blower. Keep in mind that in colder temperatures the tire pressure will drop, so don't just check the pressure in the summer or fall...be sure to check the pressure after the temperature drops in the winter. If you're interested in buying a new snow blower, I highly recommend the EGO snow blower shown in this video and linked above. I purchased the EGO SNT2406-4 model because that version comes with four 10.0 Ah batteries and two turbo chargers. You'll save money getting the version that comes with 4 batteries because buying the batteries individually is REALLY expensive. This snow blower is also a 2-stage, self-propelled with a lot of power. I got my EGO snow blower in 2023 which was the most snow in history in Utah. This snowblower and absolutely no problem with the deep, heavy snow all season. Most snow storms I only need to use 2 batteries, but for the big storms sometimes I need to use all 4 batteries on my large driveway and sidewalks. Even if I'm not using all 4 batteries, it's really nice to have 2 batteries in the snow blower and 2 other batteries that are fully charged waiting to be swapped out. I've been shoveling snow for over 40 years in Utah and this EGO snow blower is the best snow blower I have ever used. I highly recommend it. 🎬 TIMESTAMPS 🎬 00:00 Introduction 01:10 Step 1 - Check Tire Pressure & Fill If Necessary 02:01 Step 2 - Remove Batteries 02:35 Step 3 - Inspect Snow Blower Clearance 03:41 Step 4 - Lift Snow Blower by 1/8 inch 04:16 Step 5 - Lower First Skid Shoe 06:37 Step 6 - Lower Second Skid Shoe 07:53 Step 7 - Inspect Snow Blower Clearance 08:18 Step 8 - Back To Clearing Snow! ℹ️ AFFILIATE LINKS When you make a purchase using the links I provide, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
