This in my opinion is a great choice and leads to a ton of benefits for a pick up truck. the third thing I like about this engine is Stellantis went with a fully closed deck block design this adds a ton of strengh which is example what you want to see out of an engine making this much power. the fouth thing I like is how this engine might potentially be more fuel efficient under load then other turbo charged engines in the segment. lastly the fifth thing I like is the towing performance that will come with these engines. having a turbo in my experience making towing so much easier and this 3L hurricane should perform better then the 5.7L hemi. now every engine has its flaws and the first thing I don't like about this 3L hurricane engine in the ram 1500 trucks is just how complex of an engine it is. having twin turbos and high pressure direct injection adds a ton of complexity and extra failure points which does alarm me about potential reliability in the future. the second thing I don't like about this engine is simple. the Hurricane does not sounds anywhere near as good as the 5.7L Hemi. the third thing I don't like is that we are already seeing failures happen like thermostat issues and 3L hurricane engines overheating this early into its life is a worrisome sign the fouth thing I don't like about this hurricane engine is the twin turbo set up.
