In the last video we talked about Parasympathetic and Sympathetic Nervous System and how a lot of people are Sympathetic dominant. In today's world, there are over stressed, overworked, too many chemicals in their systems and there's a constant threat to the mind - perceived threat. So we want to get to Parasympathetic Nervous System which allows you rest, digest and really where love, happiness and peace occur in the Parasympathetic Nervous System or the (PNS). So, I want to give you 2 simple techniques that allow you to activate the PNS and creates relaxation, de-stressing, recovery. It's great for your whole body, your mind and everything in general. Your life is going to improve just by doing this simple techniques. 1. Belly Breathing If you want to improve your parasympathetic, you can do three times during the day. So let's say when you wake up in the morning you take 10 deep belly breaths in so like your belly expands and then breath out, so 10. Do the same thing before you eat lunch. This will allow you to digest your food, absorb your nutrients better and be able to utilize it as energy for everyday life, as opposed to eating the food when you're in the Sympathetic Nervous System and the food putrifies and really just sits there and ferments in your stomach and you don't absorb the nutrients. So those simple things are extremely important. So 10 deep breaths in the morning, before you eat lunch and then again in the evening. Just those things you'll see how you can lose weight, you will move better throughout the day, you'll feel more relaxed and again, you'll feel happy and feel more relaxation will just give you more happiness. No one likes to be stressed out all the time, we want to deactivate Sympathetic Nervous System for a while. 2. Meditation/ Deep Sleeping I put deep sleeping. So just clearing your mind, you can lay down the bed, meditate or sitting up and just relaxing, doing deep breathing while you're meditating. A few things to that, a lot of people are caffeinated or on some type of drug or they're eating foods that have dyes and all this additives and stuff like that, that can cause threat to the body, it can activate the Sympathetic Nervous System. So the threats can be perceived - they can be outward or they can be inward. For example, if you have a gluten sensitivity and you need gluten, your Sympathetic Nervous System will be activated and it will cause a adrenal fatigue and things like that. So if you're drinking coffee, you'll never go into a fully deep sleep because you're being activated by that drug so that been said deep sleep and meditation can help. Again, try to eliminate the things that are going to activate your Sympathetic Nervous System.
