Only an hour away from Poznań there is the world`s second largest statue of Jesus Christ called Christ the King situated in Świebodzin. This 33-meter-tall white statue with the 3-meter golden crown on its head is proudly towering over the lovely countryside. Another worthwhile attraction is the 14th century Kornik Castle, located only 30 minutes from Poznań. Built as the defensive structure surrounded by a moat, it was redesigned in the 19th century in neo-gothic style.
