Mumbai Blast Case: Abu Salem To Be Released After Completion Of 25-Year Term | Mirror Now

The Supreme Court on Monday said the Union government will have to release gangster Abu Salem from jail after completing his 25-year term in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case as it has given Portugal an undertaking it is bound to honour. The bench said that the Center is bound to advise the President of India in exercise of the power under Article 72 of the Constitution and national commitment after completion of sentence.
