The Nechiphu Tunnel, recently inaugurated in Arunachal Pradesh, is a significant infrastructure project by the Border Roads Organization (BRO). It aims to provide all-weather connectivity, bypassing the foggy and landslide-prone Nechiphu Pass, thus reducing travel distance and improving safety for both military convoys and civilian traffic Inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Nechiphu Tunnel is part of a broader initiative involving 90 key infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹2,941 crore, aimed at bolstering border infrastructure along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
