DT1132i and iSURE at Porsgrunn E18 Grenland tunnel highway project, Norway

Metrostav is obtaining great results by combining Sandvik DT1132i intelligent tunneling drills with iSURE® at their Porsgrunn E18 Grenland tunnel highway project, in Norway. This has allowed Metrostav to optimize their entire workflow, from drill plan creation and transfer, to drilling & blasting and reporting. Analysis of drilling performance and geological conditions are also facilitated by the integration between iSURE® and the iSeries tunneling drills. The combo is also being successfully used in three other projects: two others in Norway, and one in the Faroe Islands. In addition to equipment and optimization software, the agreement includes rock drills and tools, parts, and full-time service.
